When I was hired by Telepathy Labs the first project I was introduced to was the Beta 1.0 of the heavy machinery configurator.
This tablet application can be navigated with either voice or touch for sales people to quickly see compatible attachments and parts for their machinery, along with access documents and sales data.
A user can look up a machine through its serial number, model number, through a customer’s fleet, or a dealer’s fleet. Before this application sales people had to search through multiple systems to match compatibility and the sale could be lost due to time required to quote.
From feedback from stakeholders and interviews with sales people trying Beta 1.0, we now have final designs for Beta 2.0 and additional dealers for larger participation for Beta 2.0.
